In June 2008, Charlene and her sister Wanda, and Sunny traveled to Seattle to particiapte in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. In Seattle they met with Charlene's and Wanda's cousins and Jodi (Davis) Roy. It was a lot of fun! The Race had over 14,500 participants and raised more than $1.6 million!
Tyler and Jamie spent the time with Judy and Bob in Portland! They had so much fun in the hot tub, at OMSI, the trolley ride to Lake Oswego, making s'mores, and the rides at Oaks Park! They especially loved the dinosaurs at OMSI!
S'more making - what could be more fun?! Tyler really like roasting the marshmellows and Jamie loved eating them!

Jordan made a winning barrel run at the end of July 2007 at a local timed event rodeo. She won with 34.75 seconds against two other kids her age. She did great! She is really proud of herself and of course you know we are too. It was not her fastest run ever but it was right there close and her barrels were especially good we thought. She did great handling Spider and he had a nice calm attitude the entire time.

Misty and Nate's Pony and Baby Foal News
Misty and Nate's Baby Foal Trixie born in May 2007- whata cutie!
Spider - Jordan and Rylee's pony purchased in May 2007. (From Misty's email) Rylee keeps calling him Spiderman which is fine I suppose since he is a gelding. Maybe that is how he got his name originally anyway, who knows. I know he is kind of homely, he looks like a mustang to me, but so far this morning he has been good. The girls and I went down and combed him (he is shedding like mad!) and fed him and just spent some time with him so he will get to know us. I felt comfortable leaving Jordan with him while I went up to get some other grooming stuff and just told her to talk to him. As I left I heard her saying "My name is Jordan, do you like your new home?" it was cute. I feel kind of bad for him because I do think he is rather homely but the important thing is if he will be gentle and good to the girls and I don't doubt that. I was even fine (with me being there) to let Rylee groom him and she really felt so very big as we don't usually let her do that with Mighty because Mighty is so much larger. It will take some time of us all getting used to each other but still it feels good already.
